Our Biomass Power solutions include biomass-fired Steam Power Plants, offering reduced CO2 emissions with efficient, flexible boiler technology to enable optimum use of biomass co-firing as well as steam turbines, turbogenerators, control systems, and other equipment.

How it Works

Success story: Drax, United Kingdom – 4,000 MW

This is the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired power station in the UK, meeting 7% of the country’s power needs. Drax employs co-fired renewable materials with coal and has set a target of producing 10% of its output from co-firing – the energy equivalent of 500 wind turbines. This will reduce its CO2 emissions by more than 2 million tons each year.
