With a world population expected to grow to 9.7 billion people by 2050 from 7.2 billion today, and demand for all forms of energy to rise by an expected 56%, meeting the world’s future energy needs is a significant challenge. This week in Houston, some of the most prominent global leaders in energy and policy are meeting at the annual IHS CERAWeek meeting to discuss these challenges.
At panel discussions and in speeches throughout the week, industry leaders – including Steve Bolze, president and CEO of GE Power & Water, Anne McEntee, president and CEO of GE’s renewables division, and Darryl Wilson, vice president and chief commercial officer of GE’s distributed power business – will address this and other issues.
