Performance Value Packs

Bringing Value Through Technology

A value pack is a service that improves the reliability, performance, efficiency, configuration or safety of your equipment. It can include the gas turbine engine, package and balance of plant equipment. Value packs are available for GE and many non-GE aeroderivative gas turbine packages.

Customized upgrades are also available to suit individual needs.

Fuel Heating
Systems
LM1600
LM2500
LM5000
LM6000
For improved performance, GE offers both gas and liquid fuel heating systems for all LM series gas turbines.
Fuel System Upgrades LM1600
LM2500
LM5000
LM6000
GG3/GG4
We can convert any type of fuel system including single-fuel to dual-fuel and single-fuel to single-fuel, and add fuels such as naphtha. Complete system conversions include engine hardware changes, package piping and wiring, controls software modifications, fuel pump skids and all associated hardware.
Inlet Conditioning Systems LM2500
LM5000
LM6000
We offer a variety of inlet air conditioning systems that can be installed in the field, including inlet chilling and heating systems and fine mist or traditional evaporative cooling systems. You can increase engine performance by optimizing the temperature of the compressor inlet air to the gas turbine.
LM5000 to LM6000 Conversion LM5000 We offer a package retrofit program to replace the LM5000 gas turbine with a new LM6000PC engine (hot end drive) within the existing package. Modifications to the existing package include a new turbine controls system, turbine mounting system, inlet bellmouth and Variable Bleed ducting redesign.
LM6000 PA to PC Uprate LM6000 We have developed an uprate kit to incorporate the improvements developed for the production PC model into the PA model LM6000s. This kit results in an uprated PA model that exhibits the same performance as the production PC model. The LM6000PA uprate provides increased power, improved heat rate and increased reliability through the improvements made to the LPC section (including higher efficiency 0-3 vanes) and the LPT section (including higher efficiency blades and vanes).
LM Reduced Emissions (Wet) LM1600
LM2500
LM5000
LM6000
We offer both water and steam injection systems for reducing NOx and other exhaust gas components that can be installed on existing field units. Conversions include on-engine modifications as well as package and control system modifications.
MetalSCAN LM1600
LM2500
LM5000
LM6000
We offer a real-time oil debris monitoring system for all LM series gas turbines. MetalSCAN monitors the accumulation of ferrous material in fluid lines and initially warns the operators of any abnormal activity. When certain thresholds have been attained, MetalSCAN triggers an alarm to indicate significant wear component damage. This sensor provides early warning of bearing and gear damage, reducing the occurrences of unplanned outages.
Sprint® /Enhanced Flow & Speed (EFS) Systems LM6000 We can install our advanced spray injection system, called Sprint (SPRay INTercooling), which improves the output and efficiency of the LM6000PC and uprated LM6000PA gas turbines. The Sprint system injects an atomized spray of water into the inlet of the low-pressure compressor and into the high-pressure compressor to lower the compressor discharge temperature, which increases the engine’s power output capability. Sprint/EFC systems increase LM6000PC or uprated LM6000PA performance by 10 to more than 20 percent while reducing simple and combined cycle life cycle costs.
Steam Injection for Power Augmentation LM2500 We offer two steam injection systems for increased power on the LM2500PE gas turbine: the LM2500PE with steam, which allows up to 30,000 pph of steam, and the LM2500PH, which allows up to 50,000 pph.
Water Wash Systems LM1600
LM2500
LM5000
LM6000
We offer portable water wash systems that can be rolled into place and used to wash gas turbines. This portable system is especially useful for multiple-unit sites.
