3500 Operations and Maintenance
A hands-on course for anyone involved with operating and maintaining a 3500 Monitoring System. Topics include overview of hardware components, rack configuration, operator display software, data acquisition software, and system troubleshooting and maintenance. Workshops include practice with 'live' monitors and racks. Class sizes are kept small to ensure that students have the opportunity to fully explore the capabilities of the system.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Explain the role of the 3500 Monitoring System in machinery monitoring and protection.
- Identify installation conditions that affect the correct operation of proximity transducer systems.
- Test monitor alarms and verify channel values in a radial vibration monitor.
- Use the RIM Host Port Test Utility to verify communication with a 3500 monitoring rack.
- Explain the use of Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) by the 3500 monitoring system.

Prerequisite
To maximize the benefit of this course, we suggest that the student purchases the Data Acquisition CBT and review it prior to attending most of the courses in the Condition Monitoring curriculum
