This course offers instruction on the GE Control Systems Toolbox as it pertains to the Innovation Series Controller. The course material and exercises provide training creating and modifying an Innovation Series Controller, operation of the trend recorder, troubleshooting, and communication networks. Lectures and hands-on exercises develop a thorough understanding of the GE Control Systems Toolbox and troubleshooting of the equipment.
Who should attend?
For engineering and maintenance personnel who are responsible for configuring, maintaining or troubleshooting a system that includes the Innovation Series Controller with or without the operator's console. Class time will be divided evenly between lectures and laboratory sessions to allow direct application of the lecture material. Students should have a strong background in controls.
Prerequisites
A basic understanding of Process control.
Participants should have a working knowledge of Windows NT or 2000.
Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of their Innovation Controller configuration (.ucb file) with them to class on a CD.
As Instruction is given in English, a reasonable ability to read and understand English
