Rotor Repair

  • Visually inspect and identify rotor

  • Perform rotor geometrical and dimensional checks
  • Perform red dye penetrant check on blades
  • Perform balancing check
  • Issue preliminary inspection report to customer
Axial Compressor Blade Replacement
  • Unstack axial compressor disks
  • Clean and paint interior disks (assembled blades)
  • Perform rotor geometrical and dimensional checks of tie rod
  • Perform rotor geometrical and dimensional of blades (blades assembled)
  • Blend damaged blades (as required)
  • Disassemble scrap axial compressor blades from disk and replace
  • Grind blade tips
  • Balance disks
  • Stack compressor
  • Balance rotor
  • Perform over-speed test
  • Complete final checks
  • Issue final report to customer

  • Issue preliminary inspection report to customer
Blade Replacement
  • Remove axial compressor blades
  • Clean axial compressor blade seats and perform non-destructive testing
  • Perform axial compressor blade geometrical and dimensional checks
  • Blend damaged blades (as required)
  • Replace scrapped blades
  • Install axial compressor blade on casings
  • Tip grind blades
  • Perform split line polishing of blades
  • Complete final checks
  • Issue report to customer
  • Prepare for shipping
Coating Application
  • De-grease blades
  • Mask blade foot
  • Apply coating to bond layer
  • Apply backing
  • Perform glass shot peening
  • Apply coating to top layer
  • Perform non-destructive testing
