• The lower panel in Buell-type precipitators - either a B-Line unistrut channel in the "BA" design or a tube-and-sleeve in the "B" design - tend to pack with dust. This binds the plates and limits free vertical expansion. Plate bowing results, and the panels often tear loose from the alignment clips.
• Dust deposits in the panel guides can lead to corrosion damage at the bottom of the collecting plates.
• Rapper and vibrator shaft corrosion and binding can be repaired and prevented using GE's shaft design upgrades and boot seals.
• Tears in the upper B line unistruts are common. When the channels become damaged, the plates can sag into the lower panel guide causing excessive binding.

Buell® /GEESI ESP upgrades

Elkhorn adapters make wire replacement easy, and help prevent spit arcing and shroud damage. Lower panel guide (B-Line) modifications relieve plate bowing, allow plates to expand vertically, and improve rapping effectiveness. Replacement weight hooks are heavier and stronger than the original, to reduce mechanical fatigue and arcing.
