Sensors

A Complete Line of Sensors

GE provides reliable sensors to measure load current, temperature and partial discharge accurately and cost-effectively.

Sensors installed on the transformer can acquire the ambient and top oil temperatures, load current, moisture content of the oil, dissolved gases in oil and status of the cooling system. They help ensure that the equipment will function within its design parameters when called upon by early detection of problems at the incipient stage, improving reliability and availability.

Sensors

AQUAOIL 400

The AQUAOIL 400 system is a stand-alone unit for field installation on a transformer valve. It allows the user to monitor online the relative humidity in the oil and its changes during load variation.

Clamp-On AC Load Current Transducer

The clamp-on AC load current transducer is a non-contact current transducer for use in 50/60 Hz AC current measuring applications.

Magnetic Mount Temperature Sensor

The magnetic mount temperature sensor attaches to the transformer with a magnet. The sensor is self-contained and in a weatherproof housing.

Partial Discharge Sensors

Partial discharge sensors are self-contained, acoustic sensors utilizing piezo electric element technology. The sensors provide continuous readings and are designed for field use in transformers and load tap changers.

Well-Type RTD Temperature Sensor

The insertion-type RTD temperature sensor mounts inside the thermal well. It connects to the transmitter, which sends a 4-20 mA signal back to the monitor.
