Simple Installation

The SQ-300i™ has three modular components to install, two are required and one is optional. The Microcontoller controls communication, evaluation, and calculation, the SCR firing module actually communicates with SCR's to fire and control sparking, and the optional Operator Interface displays troubleshooting and operating information.

A single interconnecting cable links the Microcontroller module with the SCR Firing module. Both modules are mounted inside the automatic voltage control (AVC) cabinet, while the Operator Interface is mounted usually on the front, or anywhere that has a network or Ethernet connection. During a retrofit of an existing cabinet, if the Operator Interface is not mounted or used, a blanking plate can be used to cover openings.

Any component can be easily removed for testing without disturbing AVC cabinet wiring. Because the Operator Interface has on onboard oscilloscope, the cabinet can stay closed during troubleshooting to ensure the safety of personnel.

The SQ-300i can be retrofitted to fit nearly any existing cabinet and is available in a custom-made, pre-wired NEMA12 enclosure with all meters, switches, and indicator lights.
