Access Doors and Door Seal

Access Doors and Door Seal for Precipitators

Precipitator access doors have a tough stamped outer door that can be equipped with an insulation filled inner liner to provide extra protection against heat loss and corrosion. (These round doors are also available for fabric filters.)

Doors come in standard 24 in. (61 cm) diameter, and can be ordered with entry/exit sleeves of varying lengths. Key interlocks easily attach to these doors and a High Voltage warning sign is standard.

Door Seal

Door seal prevents leakage of outside air into your air pollution control equipment. If doors are sealed improperly, they can cause many problems within your air pollution control equipment, including:
  • Corrosion of doors and walls
  • Fugitive emissions
  • Production losses
  • Reduction of airflow across filters because of condensation and blinding
  • Maintenance problems
Door seals are available to meet specific needs of doors and applications based on gas chemistry, temperature, and door configurations.

Other items available include:
  • FDA-approved sponge neoprene and silicone door seal
  • Silicone RTV adhesive for installing door seal. This adhesive is effective up to 400° F (204° C). When ordering, estimate one tube per 20 feet (6.1 m) of door seal.
