Rotary airlocksOur heavy-duty rotary airlock is designed to optimize material flow in any application where dry particulate is present. The rotary airlock is used in dust control equipment and as a volumetric feeder to maintain an even flow of material throughout the system process.
The airlock provides an airtight seal to prevent inleakage of outside air which can result in material bridging and condensation in the hopper. In addition, the airlock allows for a constant flow of material to be removed from the hopper, preventing material buildup as well as allowing for volumetric feeding for precise metering of material if required. Tipping gate valvesGE designs and supplies double tipping valves (flap gate valves) that are excellent for low to medium dust loads where metering material is not as critical. For critical applications (abrasive, high temperature, high pressure) we carry a line of valves that can handle your needs. The valves can be pneumatically, electrically, or gravity operated. Custom inlet bafflesGE's inlet baffles are individually designed for installation in the hopper to evenly distribute the inlet plenum gas stream, reducing turbulence and uneven grain loading. Excessive turbulence results in previously collected dust being swept from the hopper and reentrained in the gas stream, increasing the dust load on the filter bags. Other problems associated with excessive turbulence include abrasion to bags, tubesheets, and housings as well as filter bag blinding. Standard and custom dampersGE can supply a new damper for your requirements or rebuild the existing damper by replacing poppet plates, shafts, bearings, actuators, and seals using design specifications to prevent abrasion and leakage. Reverse Air dampersOur reverse air dampers incorporate a larger reverse air opening and better seals to improve reverse air cleaning. The damper assembly is constructed of heavy gauge 3/16 in. (4.8 mm) plate steel and offers an adjustable speed electrical or pneumatic actuator.
FansAdditional or replacement fans are needed as systems are upgraded due to increased airflow requirements. Fans should always be evaluated during troubleshooting. GE engineers and service crews will troubleshoot, recommend, repair, or install a new fan system for general equipment needs, baghouse upgrades, and conversions. Hopper heatersLow-watt heating modules attach directly to your hopper to maintain temperature above dewpoint, preventing condensation and plugging. Our hopper heaters offer the following benefits:
