Comprised of three main components, the Surface System includes the Safe Area Interface, Rig Floor Display and a pressure transducer. With the Safe Area Interface acting as the central hub, the system's design allows for the use of high resolution pressure transducers, reducing the potential for electromagnetic interference and eliminating issues with ground loops.

• Safe Area Interface: Performs all receiver functions (NODE 5) previously performed in the Legacy Remote Terminal. The interface uses fiber-optic cable for communication with the Rig Floor Display, improving overall performance. The system requires only a standard serial or USB cable.
• Rig Floor Display: Uses a 15 inch (38 cm) color, liquid crystal display screen with backlighting for excellent night viewing. Sourced from an industry leader in display technology, our display ensures continuous enhancements and best available technology.
• Pressure transducer: The system design allows for the use of a higher resolution pressure transducer with increased insulation resistance. The transducer design is industry and rig proven, using the best available technology sourced from an industry leader.
