Orientation Modules

Small Design, Big Results

With a proven track record and a long history in the design and delivery of precision drilling tools for the oil and gas industry, GE has designed a magnetometer using the latest industry circuit design and component selection to deliver heightened accuracy and reliability.

Features and Benefits

State-of-the-art board and packaging designs have been used to condense the traditional large through hole circuit boards into one dual-sided surface mount board, making it compact and easy to integrate into any existing system. The single circuit board is now the GE standard for magnetometers.

  • Delivers enhanced accuracy and reliability with a significant improvement in the performance rating temperature: rated to 365 °F (185 °C) for performance criteria and 374 °F (190 °C) for survival
  • Withstands extreme environments, as demonstrated by rigorous highly accelerated life testing (HALT) for extreme temperature, shock and vibration survivability. Survivability in the HALT chamber ranged from -130 to 374 °F (-90 to 190 °C), while simultaneously being exposed to a 6-axis 60 gRMS vibration environment
  • Fits inside a chassis as small as one inch (2.5 cm)
  • Operates cost-effectively with a greater mean time between calibrations
  • Functions to the specified performance with qualification and validation testing
