SymptomsGateCycle software generates an error message or crashes upon startup. CauseThis problem is usually caused when some of the settings found in the gatecycl.ini file are incorrect. For example, the most recently used GateCycle database directory may have been renamed or deleted, but gatecycl.ini still points to the now-missing folder. ResolutionLocate and edit the GateCycl.ini file, which is usually located in the Config subdirectory of the GateCycle directory chosen during installation. If you are not sure where the GateCycl.ini file is located, use the Find Files or Folders program in the Microsoft® Windows® Start menu, or the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, to search for it. After you find the gatecycl.ini file, edit it using a text editor like Windows Notepad. Examine the values of the DBDir, CurrentCase and CurrentModel parameters and change them if they refer to nonexistent folders, models or cases. Sample values for these parameters are shown below:
