Version 5.3 Sink Causes an Input Error When Analysis Is Run

Symptoms

Models with steam/water sinks with Enable Pressure Control checked report input errors for each such sink when the analysis code is run. The error log file shows the following message for each such sink:

  • --------- Reading All Component Input Data ---------
  • *** ERROR - in R_SINK for SINK LPSTM
  • Input ID not found in comp list: ID =
  • Using sink link method=1 and data values from input form

Cause

This problem is caused by a known bug. The GateCycle version 5.31 patch addresses it.

Please go to the upgrades section of this site and download the version 5.31 (or higher) patch that addresses this issue.
