SymptomsIf you upgrade a licensed GateCycle version 5.2x installation on a Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0 system, you will experience license recognition problems when GateCycle version 5.3 is run. CauseThe updated CrypKey installation program bundled with GateCycle version 5.3 adds the GateCycle directory using a long folder name path instead of a short folder name path as it did previously. The long path plus the previous short path from GateCycle version 5.2x confuses the CrypKey server, resulting in random license availability and changing site IDs if you try to register a new license. In some cases, a "restriction file moved" message appears if you click Register License in the error message box. ResolutionFollow these steps on the affected machine: 1. From the Start menu, select Programs; then select CrypKey Server for Windows NT.
