Generator Protection and Control Panels

Generator Protection System and Generator Control Panels

Flexible and Reliable Generator Protection System for Gas, Steam, and Hydro Generators

Custom protection systems with modern digital relay capability, network / communications options, and diagnostics.

Overview
Modern, digital generator protection systems are available for gas, steam, hydro, and plant level applications on new generators or as retrofits. The GP2100R line of Generator Protection Panels (GPP) is a highly customizable version of the GP2100 GPP, provided to protect the growing fleet of new unit GE turbine-generators.
Product Description

The product is based on GE's Multilin family of Universal Relays. This flexible set of relays can be customized for the specific protective, metering, and control needs of each application. A variety of IP/NEMA panels are available, and a backplane parts kit can be provided for mounting the relays in an existing enclosure.

Upgrading an existing protection system improves overall system reliability and offers many advanced control and protection functions embedded in software. Metering, oscillography, and event recording provide analysis tools for capturing and analyzing power system data.

These digital systems are easily integrated with other plant equipment via RS232, RS485, and Ethernet communications supporting Modbus® RTU and DNP 3.0 protocols.
