3500/06 Weatherproof Housing
The weatherproof housing is used to enclose the 3500
rack, protecting it from dust and moisture, while still
allowing the user to see status and other indicators
through the see-through glass door. The housing can
also be used for applications where purge air is used
to meet hazardous area requirements.
The diagnostic access panel is used when buffered transducer
signals for connection to diagnostic instruments is
required, but without accessing the front panel of the
3500 System itself, such as when located in a locked
cabinet or housing. Connection for 2 Keyphasor®
channels and 24 buffered transducer channels are provided
via BNC connectors. Multiple access panels can be connected
to a single rack when required.
When intrinsically safe applications are required, you
can eliminate the need for external zener barriers and
associated housings by using the 3500 System's built-in
barriers. They save installation costs and provide superior
accuracy compared to external barriers.
Our Galvanic Isolator Interface is designed for those
who prefer galvanic isolation to zener-type I.S. barriers
when using the 3500 System in an intrinsically safe
installation.
External termination (ET) blocks allow field wiring to be landed on DIN rail-mounted terminal blocks rather than directly on the 3500 rack’s input modules. The result is easier access for initial installation and future maintenance. Multi-conductor cables connect each ET block to its corresponding 3500 monitor module.
