Rack, Power Supply, Rack Interface Modules
and Data Acquisition Hardware
These 3500 System Essentials provide the conditioned power needed
to drive your rack system and the connectivity choices for 3500
rack configuration software, external communications processors
or direct connectivity to on-line condition monitoring software
like System 1®.

3500/05 System Rack
Available in a traditional 19-inch EIA rack-mount configuration, as well as an innovative bulkhead-mount version with front-access wiring, the system rack holds all 3500 modules. A half-width mini-rack is also available when space is at a premium.
A 3500 Configuration Software is used to configure all 3500 modules. 3500 Operator Display Software is used to collect, trend, and display data from the 3500 system.
Accepts 85 to 250 Vac 50/60 Hz, or 20 to 140 Vdc input power, and provides conditioned power through the rack backplane for all installed 3500 modules.
The Rack Interface Module (RIM) is the primary interface to the 3500 rack and its installed modules. It provides connection to 3500 configuration software and communication processors. One (1) RIM is required in each 3500 rack.
3500/22M Rack Interface Module with TDI Data Acquisition Hardware
This Rack Interface Module (RIM) provides functions similar to the 3500/20, but incorporates our TDI communications processor, providing full transient, steady-state, or static-only data acquisition and direct connectivity to our System 1 software. It is used in place of the 3500/20 and is recommended whenever immediate, or future, online condition monitoring is desired. Its innovative design consumes no additional rack space and replaces the need for one (or more) external communications processors such as TDXnet™. It is compatible with all M-series 3500 racks.
This communications processor is used with compatible
3300 series systems (refer to 3300
compatibility guide)
and is mounted external to the monitoring
system. Data can be gathered from up to 24 channels
in parallel using high-speed sampling suitable for steady-state
and startup/shutdown machinery conditions. Ethernet
communications are used for fast data transfer between
the TDXnet and its host software. For 3500 racks, TDI
is the preferred solution unless it is an older rack
without m-series modules installed.
This communications processor is the predecessor to
TDXnet, performing many of the same functions. However,
it uses serial communications rather than Ethernet.
It is not supported by System 1 software and information
is provided here for reference purposes only. For new
or retrofit installations requiring connection to System
1 software, use TDI or TDXnet as appropriate.
This communications processor is similar to TDIX, but
without the capability for collection of transient data.
It is not supported by System 1 software and information
is provided here for reference purposes only. For new
or retrofit installations requiring connection to System
1 software, use TDI or TDXnet as appropriate.
