Continued Development and Growth….

Since its inception, GE has played an integral role in the CANDU industry. In 1955 the Company co-developed with AECL and Ontario Hydro Ontario's first CANDU reactor. Since the 1970s, the focus has been on the supply of fuel, fuel handling systems and services. Today, as a key member of Team CANDU, GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy Canada, Inc. participates in the continued development of the CANDU industry with a dedicated focus to support CANDU New Build.
