Call for Presentations - Suggested topics:
  • How your plant justifies their investment in condition monitoring technologies and how it measures payback from those investments
  • Overcoming the barriers to proactive use of condition monitoring within your organization
  • Impact of thermodynamic performance monitoring on your power plant
  • Case study on how a particularly difficult rotor dynamic problem was solved using System 1 software
  • Case study on a particularly innovative way in which you are using System 1 such as significant use of process data to supplement vibration data or a particularly unusual asset type being addressed successfully
  • An overview of your organizations asset management strategies
  • Perceived barriers in your organization to the use of wireless technologies for condition monitoring and/or process measurements
  • Influencing organizational change to shift from reactive to proactive maintenance programs

If you are interested in presenting at this conference, please contact us immediately to let us know of your intent and then submit a 100-150 word synopsis along with your name, title, company name, and contact information as soon as possible, but no later than 5 July 2008, to: sebastian.seow@ge.com

Guidelines for presenters:
  • All presentations must be submitted for review by conference organizers and may be rejected if content is unsuitable. GE reserves the right to edit content on all accepted presentations for appropriate grammatical and graphical conventions.
  • All presentations will use Microsoft powerpoint. Speakers should plan to make a hardcopy or their presentation with speaker's notes, or a formal written paper version of their presentation for conference attendees at the conclusion of their presentation.
  • Presentations should be from 30-45 minutes in length and allow 15 minutes for questions.
  • Presentations should make use of technical data, charts, and graphs where appropriate. Presentations consisting of only text bullet points will be rejected.
  • This conference focuses on GE's Optimization and Control products such as Bently Nevada hardware, System 1 software, Excitation, ITCC. Feedback from users regarding how these products compare to other competing products is always welcome and typically forms a part of all users' conferences. However, full-length papers and presentations should be focused around the use of GE's products and how they have been used to solve problems in your facilities.
