Flexibility
New MagneScan tools are designed so that the standard configuration will inspect around 80% of pipelines without modification. This means we are in and out of your pipeline with minimum impact on production.
Bore passing and stability
With excellent bore and bend passing capability, coupled with superb dynamic performance, these tools form the most stable of platforms for pipeline inspection.
Speed capability
With its speed-stable magnetizers, New MagneScan can inspect at up to 5m/s inspection speed without the need for speed control.
Shortest Tool in the business
At just 1.35m or 53” long, the 6” tool is the shortest on the market. If you have a problem with short launch / receive facilities, this is the Combo tool that will do the job.
Our 8” tool is just 1.56m or 61” long and the 10” tool is 1.64m or 65” long.
Back to back bends
Some multi-module tools can stick in back to back bends, requiring a cut out to remove them.
To make tools pass the bends requires either many short, close-coupled modules, or longer tow-bars between modules.
Either solution means longer tools. GE has achieved a remarkable packaging solution in providing a 6” tool just 53” long that will pass back-to-back 1.5D bends.
Combo Calliper
Integrated high-resolution calliper sensors means a calliper run combined with a corrosion inspection.
This solution helps you find those dangerous dents containing metal loss.
Did you know that the pipeline failure pressure can be an order of magnitude lower if there is gauging coincident with a dent?
This system allows you to determine the shape and severity of the dent for prioritization and action.
Combo high resolution mapping capability
You get an Integrated Fiber Optic Gyroscope inertial measurement system for accurate pipeline mapping at the same time as your inspection run.
The tool can map the location of each point on your pipeline with a GPS location reference. And measure bending of each point on your pipeline to monitor pipe movement and strain.
Flexible Data Analysis
We collect all the data, you decide which you would like to have processed and analyzed, based on your needs.
This gives you the ability to go for higher-end analysis and reporting at a later date.
