First established in Hassi R’Mel in 1993, ALGESCO is a joint venture among Sonatrach, Sonelgaz and GE. Building on more than 45 years of GE experience in Algeria, ALGESCO provides a broad range of turbine, compressor and related auxiliary equipment services.
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance operating capabilities to serve customer needs more effectively, ALGESCO is expanding its local presence with the opening of a new state-of-the-art service center in Algiers. Located in the Boufarik area, the new service center will encompass approximately 18,300 square meters, becoming the largest GE Oil & Gas Service Center in the world.
The ALGESCO Algiers facility will be a Center of Excellence for turbomachinery aftermarket services, helping Algeria achieve increased oil and gas capacity by providing the most advanced technologies for the inspection, maintenance and repair needs of the local oil and gas industry. It will support both emerging markets and the fast growing natural gas industry in Algeria,with application expertise ranging from LNG,  transportation, pipeline, gasification and storage.
