GE Oil & Gas positive displacement compressors offer smooth, continuous flow: no reciprocating motion or pulsation. For processing dirty, polymer-forming or corrosive gases, our positive displacement compressors offer you the reliability of centrifugal compressors with the surge-free performance of reciprocating compressors. But with no valves or rings to plug or wear, these units easily handle dirty, wet and polymer-forming gases without excessive fouling. Without the surge limit typical of centrifugal compressors, the oil-free screw and rotary sliding vane positive displacement designs easily provide the desired process flow at the required discharge pressure, no matter what the variation in gas pressure, temperature and composition.

Our oil-free rotary screw compressor line can handle gases with varying molecular weights, pressures and temperatures. Without the surge limit typical of centrifugal compressors, it easily provides the desired process flow at the required discharge pressure no matter what the variation in gas pressure, temperature and composition. The design allows liquid solvents or water to be injected during operation to remove excessive polymer buildup, absorb the heat of compression, and control discharge temperature. The system's versatility makes it well-suited to applications ranging from the smallest specialty chemical processes to the largest styrene operations.
