Design Philosophy
We offer a full line of high speed reciprocating compressors (HSR) covering the range of 60-8850 hp, with a variety of piston rod load capabilities and frame stroke combinations. HSR compressors have a robust design for continuous, low maintenance operation in oil & gas applications 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The small footprint and balanced opposed design to minimize vibration by equalizing the opposing reciprocating forces on the crankshaft make these compressors particularly well suited to offshore applications. Many compressor models employ water jacketed cylinders to lower operating temperatures,
provide thermal stability, and improve valve life. Our compressors are also designed to be direct connected via a flexible coupling to a variety of economical prime movers, including reciprocating natural gas engines (720 to 1800 RPM) and electric motors (750RPM to 1800 RPM). A variety of compressor frame strokes allow the compressor to be perfectly matched to the optimum driver.
