23rd World Gas Conference

This year marks the International Gas Union’s 75th anniversary. The IGU has 86 members representing 95% of worldwide gas sales, and the World Gas Conference is its most important event.

The 2006 program included research presentations and discussions on topics such as policy-related issues involving environment and society, as well as technical issues including gas energy-related production, storage, transportation, distribution and consumption. The exhibition covered 15,000 m2 of the latest technologies and products in energy and energy-related fields.

GE’s Oil & Gas business was on hand as always. This year we showcased a number of new technologies including Sentinelä –  an industry-leading gas flowmeter from GE Sensing which offers higher flow calibrated accuracy at 0.1%. For more information on Sentinel, please click here.
