New corporate structure for stronger serviceGE recently undertook the internal re-organization, simplifying our business structure to more effectively deliver what really matters most to our customers – solutions to their business challenges. Our six new industry-focused groups are: 1. GE Infrastructure All of our Oil & Gas services, formerly delivered under the umbrella of GE Energy, are now part of GE Infrastructure (along with Rail, Aviation and Water) lead by Dave Calhoun. The new organization will take better advantage of our deep leadership teams and cross-industry technological capabilities, enhancing our ability to serve customers – and simplifying the route from problem to solution. By bringing together businesses with similar capabilities and technological strengths – for example, in rotating machinery and pipelines – we can maximize synergies from research and development, engineering and many other areas. These organizational changes are a natural evolution for GE and reflect our profound commitment to provide all our customers with smart, sustainable solutions. In keeping with that theme, our customer contact points will not be affected by the restructuring – so that all communication and work flow will continue as usual. |
