Improving productivity through
technological innovation

AN250 LNG compressor passes tests for Tangguh

This new axial compressor was developed specifically for Tangguh and other 4.1 MTPY LNG lines. Its design achieves a 20% increase in capacity over the proven AN200, and comprehensive test results show that it will perform above expectations in Indonesia.

Turboexpander-compressor modifications at the Kollsnes plant in Norway

As part of a plant expansion, GE was chosen to supply a Rotoflow turboexpander compressor – including customized features to meet the operation’s 14,000 KW, 9,000 rpm specifications. The unit has been in continuous operation since March 2005.

New turbine-compressor combination delivers highest thermal efficiency

At the 34th Turbomachinery Symposium, we announced that our new PGT25+G4 will be available in 2006. It is a two-stage, high-speed power turbine module coupled with our recently enhanced LM2500+G4 aeroderivative gas generator. The new combination of technologies was designed for applications across the oil and gas industry, including large pipelines and onshore/offshore production facilities.

Modernizing gas compression trains in aging facilities

As worldwide LNG demand increases, many operators are interested in upgrading their plant and facilities – both for compatibility with modern safety and operating practices, and also to increase flow and take better advantage of current market oportunities. GE provides extensive modernization and debottlenecking services for improved station availability, gas throughput, fuel consumption, life extension and a myriad of other needs. This article includes a recent case study illustrating the depth of our service.
